The Game

Just as you think you are about to gain access to its metadata, it is a trap. The organisation is on to you. They are about to catch you.
In that moment you are rescued by the Hitch Hacker Resistance. an online network of revolutionaries who recruit you...not that you have much choice... Into joining their ongoing fight for freedom.
Combining cross-genre game play, sardonic humour and playing on the many sci-fi tropes that have envisioned the metaverse as a concept over many years, this epic experience puts you in the driving seat of the fast approaching utopian/dystopian (delete as appropriate) future that awaits us alL..
The Film
This is a cutting-edge documentary about cutting edge technology. It will be an entanglement of archive footage, interviews and animated reconstructions shot using Unreal Engine, (such as was used in Star Wars ‘The Mandalorian’) using game mechanics and real time rendering to give the impression that we are in any number of real and virtual environments.
The documentary will highlight the creators, consumers, philosophers and writers. Extracting contradictory definitions and opinions all building up a picture of what the metaverse is and is not.
The tone of the film, as inferred by the title, (A nod to the late Douglas Adams who suggested the Earth was a giant computer and humans the mere by-products of its coding.) will present everything in a playful irreverent and deadpan tone where ‘The Voice Of The Metaverse’ (VOM) will provide side notes, and explore tangent storylines.
